Newcastle United have put a price tag of £75m on Anthony Gordon, with Arsenal and Bayern Munich reportedly interested in the winger.

Martin Hardy reports for The Times that Newcastle United will sell Anthony Gordon to Bayern Munich this summer, if the Bundesliga club match their £75m valuation of him.
Bayern reportedly have Gordon as one of their main summer targets, and Newcastle are aware of the interest. There’s been no club-to-club contact yet, but there is a belief the player is open to the move.
Bayern’s valuation of Gordon is closer to £55m, which is a figure Newcastle won’t consider.

Hardy adds that Bayern are the clear favourites for Gordon as it stands, despite interest from Liverpool and Arsenal. The player’s representatives are set to hold meetings with Bayern officials soon, and Newcastle know they need to sell this summer.
Newcastle’s financial restrictions are only likely to increase as the season ends, given they’re a long way off the Champions League places.
With just five games to go, Eddie Howe’s side are 13 points behind fifth place. One defeat for Newcastle or one win for Liverpool would mathematically end their Champions League qualification hopes.
There’s still the Europa League or the Europa Conference League to play for, with seventh place in the table a more reasonable six points clear of Newcastle. But it would still require a very unlikely set of results, and the Europa money is a long way short of the Champions League money.

Gordon is a doubt to face Arsenal this weekend, as he’s currently struggling with a minor injury. But he has 17 goals and five assists for Newcastle this season, as a regular starter for the team.
