Borussia Dortmund are keen to sign Ethan Nwaneri this summer, but Arsenal are yet to hold talks with the player over his long-term future.

Fabrizio Romano reports on his YouTube channel that Borussia Dortmund are keen to sign Ethan Nwaneri this summer, but there’s still a long way to go until any decisions will be made.
Romano begins by confirming that Nwaneri isn’t going to stay at Marseille this season, with the French club not having a buy option to make his deal permanent to begin with.
The reporter then adds that Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea have been interested in Nwaneri in the past, and Dortmund remain interested, among several other clubs.

But Romano adds that Arsenal are yet to communicate any desire to sell Nwaneri with the player or his camp, with things still undecided and no intention to hold talks until after the end of the season.
It’s not impossible that those talks will ultimately result in Nwaneri’s permanent transfer, but any suggestions that it’s a done deal are premature at this stage.
Nwaneri remains on loan with Marseille, where he’ll be trying to make a positive impression in the final couple of months of the season.

The 19-year-old is currently struggling for starts, with new Marseille boss Habib Beye yet to name him in the lineup after eight games in charge.
Nwaneri has still made six appearances as a substitute over that period, but he’ll want to get into the starting lineup sooner rather than later, with Marseille only having five games remaining in their season.
