Arsenal’s partnership with WhatsApp and Facebook has now formally launched, four months after the club first confirmed the deal in December 2025.

When Arsenal announced the agreement at the end of last year, the club said the two platforms would become Official Partners as part of a wider effort to develop how supporters engage with Arsenal across its digital channels, with the rollout expected over the coming months.
At that stage, Arsenal framed the partnership around deeper storytelling, stronger community interaction and better access to club content. Supporters were told to expect new ways of following updates across the club on WhatsApp and Facebook, including behind-the-scenes access spanning all Arsenal’s teams, while dedicated online spaces were also planned to bring supporters together and reflect the scale of the club’s global fanbase.
The launch now provides more detail about that original announcement. WhatsApp and Facebook say the partnership is intended to bring supporters closer to the club and to each other, with a particular focus on how both apps already sit within the routines and habits of Arsenal fans around the world.

The campaign presents WhatsApp as the place for supporters’ inner circles, where tactics are debated, jokes are turned into stickers and celebrations continue in voice notes and group chats.
Facebook, meanwhile, is positioned as the wider meeting point, where supporters watch Reels, discuss transfer news and organise themselves through Groups, watch parties and local communities.
As part of the launch, an ‘It’s Official’ film has been released across Arsenal, WhatsApp and Facebook channels on YouTube, Instagram and in-app.
According to the partners, the film is built around the moments that define being an Arsenal supporter, from the build-up before kick-off to the conversations and celebrations that continue long after the final whistle.
Supporters are also being offered new digital experiences and exclusive opportunities through the club’s official WhatsApp Channel and Facebook page.
Arsenal have further confirmed ‘activations’ at the Emirates Stadium across April, alongside opportunities to attend matches through Arsenal Facebook communities.
Vivian Odior, Head of Marketing, Family of Apps, said: “We know that being an Arsenal supporter doesn’t start at kick-off and end at the final whistle. WhatsApp and Facebook are where that year-round passion lives – the transfer speculation, the tactical debates, the shared memories and hopes for next season. Whether in a private WhatsApp group chat or echoed across Facebook’s global groups, we’re proud to bring Gooners even closer to the club they love.”
Juliet Slot, Chief Commercial Officer at Arsenal, added: “Being an Arsenal supporter is about shared moments, connection and a sense of belonging in our community. Our partnership with Meta builds on how our supporters already come together, wherever they are in the world, and will create more ways to feel closer and more connected to our club.
“As we continue to compete to win major trophies, partnerships like this play an important role in supporting that ambition and strengthening our connection with supporters.”
