UEFA have confirmed the details for the Champions League semi-finals, with Arsenal potentially in line for a trip to Spain if they can make it past Sporting CP.

UEFA have confirmed the dates for the Champions League semi-finals early, with the quarter-final matches still yet to be played at this stage.

If Arsenal can beat Sporting CP in their quarter-final, they’ll play either Barcelona or Atletico Madrid in the semi-final first leg away from home on Wednesday, April 29th at 20:00 BST.

The second leg would then be at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, May 5th at 20:00 BST.

Arsenal’s Premier League match against Newcastle United prior to the Champions League semi-final first leg has been set for Saturday, April 25th at 17:30 BST, and there’s no reason why that would change as a result of this semi-final match.

But the Newcastle game could move if Arsenal make the FA Cup semi-finals, set for that weekend.

The Fulham game on Saturday, May 2nd will definitely stay there, as the Premier League won’t want to move it to the Sunday now, given the potential Champions League second leg on the following Tuesday.

The Premier League are yet to confirm exactly when Arsenal’s trip to the London Stadium to face West Ham on the weekend of May 9th will take place, and their eventual decision will be influenced by the fact that it’s very likely the TV companies will want to broadcast it.
