Former Arsenal players Mohamed Elneny and Thierry Henry were both in attendance for the Gunners’ match against Chelsea on Sunday, watching on from the stands.

Arsenal took on Chelsea in a big game for their Premier League title hopes on Sunday, the penultimate big-six clash of the Gunners’ league campaign.
The final big-six match is obviously the most important one, with Arsenal travelling away to Manchester City in mid-April. But after Sunday’s match, the Gunners knew they’d have put their league games against Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur behind them.
Mikel Arteta’s side also had the chance to go five points clear at the top of the table, albeit having played a game more. Add to that the fact it was a London derby, and perhaps it’s unsurprising that multiple former Arsenal players were spotted in attendance.

Thierry Henry was picked up by the TV cameras before the game, sporting an Arsenal cap. Then former Gunners midfielder Mohamed Elneny also shared that he’d watched the match from the stands as well.
“Great to see Arsenal Fans today and what a great win,” Elneny wrote on Instagram. “London always is red, love you Gunners.”
Elneny has been interacting with Arsenal fans on social media quite a lot lately, sharing posts with Gunners supporters singing his song, and replying to one post in mid-February by saying: “Miss you all, Arsenal fans, love you all.”

The midfielder attended the game with his son Malek on this occasion, and they’ll have been pleased to see the team achieve a key victory on their return to the ground.
