Sky Sports have released a new video showing every angle of Max Dowman’s history-making goal against Everton, allowing supporters to relive the amazing moment in full.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve already watched Max Dowman’s goal against Everton at least 50 times. The emotion of it feels just as real as it did yesterday evening, when he mugged off two defenders before striding through an empty half to roll the ball into an open net, with Jordan Pickford stranded upfield.
Dowman’s goal is pure, distilled Arsenal joy, the kind you feel in your gut before you even realise you are on your feet.
Everton had thrown everyone forward, Pickford included, and we were chewing our nails in the 97th minute with the score delicately poised at 1-0 and three vital points in the title race on the line. Suddenly, the ball broke after excellent work from Gabriel Martinelli, and found this skinny 16-year-old in red and white on the edge of his own box.

He shrugged off one blue shirt that tried to stop him by the neck, then another is sent to the floor and suddenly the entire Everton half, deserted, lay in front of him.
The whole stadium was somehow cheering while also holding its breath as Dowman ate up the pitch. The green grass opened up ahead of him as his head checked left and right for defenders who had no chance of catching him.
Every step he took we were shouting: “Go on… go on…”
As the ball entered the Everton box, he decided that was far enough and passed it into the empty goal and entered his names in the record books, the youngest ever Premier League goalscorer, breaking a record set five years before he was born.
The game was won, and Dowman was the reason why.
There was absolute delirium, on the pitch, in the stands, on the touchlines, on the bench, and in homes and pubs around the world.
As many have said on social media, Sky Sports cutting together every angle of Dowman’s goal and the ensuing celebrations might just be the greatest thing they have ever produced.
Enjoy –
