Arsenal have reportedly opened discussions over a potential summer move for RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba as interest grows around the highly rated France international.

Arsenal have reportedly opened talks over a potential move for RB Leipzig centre back Castello Lukeba, as the club explore the possibility of signing the 23-year-old this summer.
Lukeba, valued at around €45m, is expected to attract strong interest in the next transfer window and Arsenal are understood to be positioning themselves should the opportunity arise.
According to L’Equipe, the defender is open to a move to the Premier League or La Liga, prompting Arsenal to begin discussions with his representatives to assess the feasibility of a deal.
No offer has been made and Leipzig are believed to be seeking between €60m and €70m to part with the France international.

Lukeba came through the academy at Lyon before breaking into their first team and securing a move to Leipzig in 2023 for around €34m on a five-year contract.
Primarily a left-sided centre-back, Lukeba can also operate at left back or right centre-back, offering tactical flexibility for clubs that value defenders capable of covering multiple positions.
He has already been capped six times by France, receiving his first senior call-up in 2023, an indication of the regard in which he is held. A left-footed defender who is aggressive and comfortable defending on the front foot, Lukeba is capable of stepping into midfield, engaging early and covering large spaces.
