Hugo Larsson has done little to quieten transfer talk, with the Arsenal-linked midfielder admitting he is curious about a fresh challenge this summer.

Arsenal target Hugo Larsson has admitted he is “curious to try something new”, with the Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder openly acknowledging the possibility of a summer move while also revealing he will have his tonsils removed at the end of the season.
According to BILD, the 21-year-old has now added to the speculation around his future himself. Away on international duty with Sweden, Larsson told Sveriges Radio: “I’m curious to try something new.“
He also suggested he knows discussions are already taking place away from public view. “I’m aware of what’s going on behind the scenes. We will see if there is anything concrete this summer.“

The report says clubs in England and Spain have shown interest, with Fabrizio Romano recently reporting attention from both countries.
In the past, teams such as Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City are said to have tracked the midfielder, while Real Madrid have also taken a look.
BILD adds that after a conversation with sporting director Markus Krosche, the plan last summer was for Larsson to stay in Frankfurt for one more season before making the next step to a top club.
Whether that happens may depend in part on how his current season is judged. BILD describes Larsson as being in a dip in form, pointing to limited output and a drop in market value from €40m to €32m.
The same report says Eintracht Frankfurt once wanted €50m to €60m, though €40m would now still represent a good deal.
Larsson remains under contract until 2029 after joining from Malmo for €9m in 2023.

There is, however, more to his season than form alone. Aftonbladet reports that Larsson has been ill repeatedly during the campaign and is now set to undergo an operation in the summer to remove his tonsils.
“We found out that I’m going to remove my tonsils after the season,” he said. “I guess that’s what’s been going on for this whole season. I’ve been sick three, four, five times.
“It’ll be nice to get rid of them. Now I have medicine that I eat until I can remove them and so far it has worked well. They are going away, then whether I have tonsillitis or not I have no idea. It didn’t look nice.
“I’ve been injured once this year, so it’s better than last season.”
Three different muscular problems ruled him out for five games last season but, contrary to his claim, he has missed five for club and country this season for the same reason, in addition to one match for stomach flu, another for a knock, and a further two for ‘illness’.
