Dundee FC youth goalkeeper Warren Lyall has been holding a trial with Arsenal over the last couple of weeks.

Football agent Darren Walker confirmed last weekend that Dundee FC goalkeeper Warren Lyall has been on a recent trial with Arsenal, sharing a picture of the player at the club’s London Colney training centre.
Reports from elsewhere suggest Lyall has spent two weeks with the Gunners, training with the Arsenal u18s and playing an u15 match against Luton Town.
Whether Arsenal choose to offer Lyall a contract remains to be seen, but he’s certainly getting a chance to show what he can do.

16-year-old Lyall plays for Dundee’s academy, and he represented Dundee’s reserve team in the Scottish Challenge Cup in November.
Internationally, the goalkeeper has played up to the Scotland u17s, with perhaps his biggest achievement being a clean sheet in a Euros qualification win over England last October.
Scotland subsequently lost to Sweden 2-0, but a 4-1 win over Lithuania meant they progressed to the next round of qualifiers scheduled for March.

Assuming Lyall is involved again with Scotland, he’ll take on Spain, Northern Ireland, and Turkey in the second group stage. If Arsenal haven’t made a decision about signing him by then, they should get another good look at him in a very competitive youth environment.
