Bukayo Saka admitted the mood inside the Arsenal dressing room was “pretty flat” after the 2-2 draw with Wolves, but insisted the team’s title destiny remains in their own hands.

Arsenal had been in control at Molineux, with Saka opening the scoring early on before Piero Hincapie doubled the lead. However, Wolves responded through Hugo Bueno and a late equaliser from Tom Edozie to leave the visitors frustrated.

Reflecting on the aftermath, Saka said: “It’s pretty flat. We’re pretty disappointed with the result, it’s the only way to describe it.

“I think it’s a game of two halves. In the first half we started so well but in the second half we dropped the level and got punished for it.”

The winger acknowledged the disappointment but stressed there is still time to put things right, with a trip to Tottenham Hotspur next up in the Premier League.

“It was already a big game and now it’s still a big game,” Saka added. “We just know these last few games that we have left, we need to win.

“It’s still in our control so we just need to focus on that, fix the issues we’re having now and get back to winning ways.”

Despite the frustration in the away dressing room, the message from Saka was clear, the response must come quickly and the opportunity to do so arrives immediately in north London this weekend.
