Larne FC have confirmed that their youth goalkeeper Phoenix Blayney has spent the last couple of weeks holding trials with both Arsenal and Liverpool.
Based on the photos shared by his club, it looks as though Blayney took part in a youth friendly match against Bayern Munich whilst with Arsenal, and he visited Anfield during his time with Liverpool.

Blayney made a couple of appearances on the bench in the UEFA Youth League earlier this season, before making his debut for the Northern Ireland u17s in October.
The goalkeeper played a couple of UEFA Euro u17 qualifiers later that same month, helping his team to a 2-1 win over Armenia and keeping a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw with Cyprus.
Blayney isn’t the only goalkeeper to hold a trial with Arsenal recently though, as Dundee FC youngster Warren Lyall also shared a picture at London Colney last week.

Whether Arsenal end up signing one or both of the goalkeepers remains to be seen, but it’s clear the Gunners are looking at every opportunity to sign up youngsters from around the United Kingdom.
