Writing on Instagram, Arsenal youngster Osman Kamara has confirmed that he’s set to leave the club following a decade in north London.

“After 10 years at Arsenal, it’s time to take the next step in my career,” Kamara said. “I am grateful towards every staff member, coach, and the club that nurtured me. Excited for what’s to come!”

Though Kamara didn’t confirm his next destination, it would be fair to assume Blackburn Rovers are strongly in contention for the 19-year-old’s signature.

After playing what appears to be his final game for the Arsenal u21s on January 17th, news broke that Kamara was set to be released when he reached the end of his first professional contract this summer.

The teenager started to hold trials with other clubs, and he made an appearance for Blackburn Rovers’ u21s on Monday.

Though Rovers didn’t officially name him in their match report, Kamara was the triallist who entered the game against the Birmingham City u21s at half-time, and he went on to score just four minutes later with a flicked finish at the far post.

With Kamara now confirming he’s leaving Arsenal, it’s possible Rovers have made an offer to sign the player before he runs down his contract this summer. For now, we await official confirmation from the clubs involved.
