Arsenal are among a number of leading European clubs monitoring Yan Diomande, but any potential move is currently complicated by a contractual dispute involving the RB Leipzig winger’s representation.

The Ivorian wide player has made a rapid impact in the Bundesliga and has quickly established himself at international level, attracting attention from across the continent as his market value rises.

Alongside Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Manchester United, Arsenal are reported to be assessing the situation.

However, Diomande is at the centre of an image management dispute between Maxidel Management, the agency of former Ivory Coast captain Max Gradel, and Roc Nation.

Maxidel claim to hold a valid agreement signed by the player, separate from his standard representation contract, which would remain in force until the end of his contract with RB Leipzig in 2030. According to Gradel, that agreement stipulates that any negotiations regarding a departure from the German club must pass through Maxidel Management.

Diomande recently announced that he had signed a similar contract with Roc Nation covering the same services.

In a protest statement, Gradel indicated that he would refer the matter to FIFA.

Until FIFA reaches a decision on the dispute between Maxidel and Roc Nation, the player’s situation remains unresolved. With elite clubs circling and Leipzig’s winger firmly on recruitment lists across Europe, the legal uncertainty currently stands in the way of any transfer discussions progressing.

For Arsenal, who continue to track emerging attacking talent as part of their long term planning, the case represents a potential opportunity complicated by off field issues beyond the club’s control.
