Arsenal have had their third bid for Blackburn Rovers’ forward Igor Tyjon rejected, increasing the chances he moves on the expiry of his contract this summer.

RoversXtra report that Blackburn Rovers have rejected a £1m bid for Igor Tyjon from Arsenal in the last few hours.
Rovers reportedly value Tyjon at £2m, but they could lose him for just £200k in compensation if they let him run down his contract this summer.
Aston Villa have also been linked with Tyjon recently, perhaps explaining Arsenal’s desire to get the deal done at five times the price they could pay in a few months. But Rovers continue to drive a hard bargain.

Arsenal already had two seven-figure bids for Tyjon turned down last summer, so this is their third overall.
At just £1m, the bid is no higher than either of their previous offers, but with Tyjon having less than six months on his contract and no desire to extend it, Rovers’ negotiating position is weaker now.
James McNicholas had recently reported for The Athletic that Tyjon remains of interest to the Gunners, adding that the forward could potentially move in January after turning down a professional contract with his current club.

The 17-year-old has notched four goals and one assist in just five Premier League 2 appearances this season, as he’s struggled for minutes in light of his stance on a new deal. Despite his young age, Tyjon has also played three times for Rovers’ senior side.
Tyjon’s most recent showing was in a 5-0 win over Birmingham City on Monday, and he scored Rovers’ fourth goal of the game with a headed finish.
