Arsenal have made their fourth bid for Igor Tyjon, pushing to get a deal done for the Blackburn Rovers striker on transfer deadline day.

Alan Nixon reports on his Patreon page that Arsenal have made yet another bid for Igor Tyjon of Blackburn Rovers, offering just over £1m for a deadline-day transfer.
The bid is Arsenal’s fourth for Tyjon overall, and their second of the January transfer window.
Just days ago, Arsenal bid in the region of £1m for the striker, but Rovers turned the deal down. The Gunners also had two seven-figure bids for Tyjon rejected last summer.

Arsenal’s latest offer won’t come to any more than they were bidding last year, but the difference now is that Tyjon has less than six months on his contract and no desire to extend it.
If Rovers continue to reject Arsenal’s bids, they’ll end up losing the striker for no more than a training compensation fee in the summer.
James McNicholas had recently reported for The Athletic that Tyjon remains of interest to the Gunners, adding that the forward could potentially move in January after turning down a professional contract with his current club.

The 17-year-old has notched four goals and one assist in just five Premier League 2 appearances this season, as he’s struggled for minutes in light of his stance on a new deal. Despite his young age, Tyjon has also played three times for Rovers’ senior side.
Tyjon’s most recent showing was in a 5-0 win over Birmingham City last Monday, and he scored Rovers’ fourth goal of the game with a headed finish.
