Leandro Trossard has become the fifth different winner of Arsenal’s Player of the Month award, winning the fan vote for December.

Arsenal have confirmed that Leandro Trossard has won the club’s Player of the Month award for December with 40% of the votes, edging out Declan Rice’s 29.5%.
A different player has won the vote in every month of the season so far, with Riccardo Calafiori, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Eberechi Eze receiving the awards from August to November.
But if there was one Arsenal player deserving of a monthly award and still yet to win one, it was Trossard.

The 31-year-old has been in excellent form this season, having received a payrise from Arsenal over the summer.
The winger now has seven goals and six assists in all competitions, the most goal contributions of any Arsenal player this season.
Only Bukayo Saka comes close, with Saka technically having seven goals and four assists, but also setting up two Wolves own goals last month to effectively have played a role in the same number of goals overall.

In December specifically, Trossard was most impactful against Aston Villa, scoring home and away against the side and also setting up a goal in the home fixture. Trossard also came on to convert a shootout penalty against Crystal Palace to help Arsenal reach the League Cup semi-finals.
Arsenal fans will hope to see more of the same from the Belgian international in the second half of 2025/26.
