At least three Premier League clubs have joined the race for former Arsenal academy defender Brooke Norton-Cuffy, with the Gunners holding a sell-on clause for the Genoa man.

Ben Jacobs reports for GiveMeSport that Newcastle United, Everton, and West Ham United have all made enquiries over Genoa defender Brooke Norton-Cuffy for a January transfer, with Napoli and Juventus also tracking him over in Italy.
Genoa are prepared to sell for a fee of around €20m (£17.4m), and given the level of interest in the youngster that doesn’t seem too unreasonable.
Everton reportedly made an approach in the first week of January, though Genoa are still waiting to see whether that turns into a formal bid. West Ham have sent scouts to watch the player in recent weeks, but again, they’re yet to bid.

In terms of the player’s desires, those close to Norton-Cuffy reportedly suggest he has aspirations to play in the Premier League, even if he’s not entirely ruling out a Serie A transfer.
This is all relevant to Arsenal because the Gunners have a sell-on clause in Norton-Cuffy’s contract. The exact value of the clause isn’t known, but a €20m sale would certainly boost Arsenal’s earnings from the Genoa transfer.
Arsenal initially sold Norton-Cuffy to Genoa for €2m in the summer of 2024, but with an additional €2m in potential add-ons. Given Norton-Cuffy’s consistent appearances and Genoa’s survival in Serie A last season, it’s likely at least some of those add-ons have been activated.

Norton-Cuffy has been a regular for Genoa in 2025/26, only missing two Serie A matches so far. One of those was through suspension, the other through injury, and the 22-year-old started all of the remaining 19 games.
Genoa have managed to drag themselves out of the relegation zone with Norton-Cuffy’s help, now sitting in 16th place and three points clear of the drop.
