Arsenal have an interest in Breno Bidon of Corinthians, but the player isn’t currently at the top of the Gunners’ shortlist, according to a report.

Following recent links between Arsenal and Corinthians 20-year-old Breno Bidon, Sami Mokbel reports for the BBC that their sources have confirmed the Gunners are indeed interested.
But Mokbel adds that other prospects are ahead of the Brazilian midfielder as things stand, so it doesn’t sound like a transfer the club will be moving ahead with imminently.
The Gunners have been linked with the player for a while now, with reports of interest emerging as long ago as April 2024.

Despite his young age, Bidon has already made over 100 appearances for the Corinthians senior team, primarily playing in central midfield but also operating in wide areas on occasion.
Bidon is also in double figures for appearances for the Brazil u20s, with most of those coming in the u20 South American Championship this time last year.
The midfielder has a contract with Corinthians until the end of 2029, so his club don’t necessarily need to make a quick decision on his future. But perhaps that’s good news for Arsenal, allowing them to assess him further and decide whether they really want to make a move.

The only negative of a more laid-back approach to the signing is that Bidon is also being linked with other clubs, including Manchester United and Atletico Madrid. The player could well be off the market before Arsenal decide to prioritise him.
