Lecce are showing interest in Karl Hein, with the goalkeeper described as one of the names being considered as the Italian club look to strengthen in January.

Corriere dello Sport reports that after work on their midfield, Lecce are focused on reinforcing their attack, but add that the club are also looking at goalkeepers, with Hein mentioned among the options.
Hein is a 23-year-old Estonia international contracted to Arsenal and currently on loan at Werder Bremen.
He joined Arsenal’s academy from Nõmme United in May 2018, signed his first professional deal in 2019 and has made one competitive first-team appearance, featuring in the League Cup against Brighton in November 2022.
His loans have included Reading in 2022, Real Valladolid in 2024-25 and Werder Bremen in 2025-26, where he made his Bundesliga debut in a 4-0 defeat to Bayern Munich to much praise.

Hein has 45 senior caps for Estonia since his debut in 2020 and has twice won the Baltic Cup, in 2020 and 2024. He was named Estonian Footballer of the Year 2025, having previously won Estonian Young Footballer of the Year in 2020, 2021 and 2024.
Arsenal have a contract with Hein running to 2026 with an option but his future seems to lie away from the Emirates.
He is currently valued at €3m.
