Arsenal youth winger Osman Kamara was still playing for the Gunners as recently as January 17th, making his 11th appearance of the season for the club.

But Kamara’s long-term future appears to be elsewhere, with Arsenal Youth reporting that he is set to be released when he comes to the end of his first professional contract this summer.

As a result, the 19-year-old has started to hold trials with other clubs, and he made an appearance for Blackburn Rovers’ u21s on Monday.

Though Rovers didn’t officially name him in their match report, Kamara was the triallist who entered the game against the Birmingham City u21s at half-time, and he went on to score just four minutes later with a flicked finish at the far post.

Kamara could even have scored more, seeing one shot blocked and two more efforts going over the bar. But with Rovers going from 1-0 at half-time to 5-0 at full-time, there’s no doubt they performed well with the Arsenal academy youngster on the pitch.

You’d think Kamara has at least done enough to earn further opportunities with Rovers, and he may now also start drawing interest from elsewhere.
