Harrison Dudziak’s loan spell with Braintree Town has reportedly been extended despite an untimely injury for the Arsenal youngster.

Arsenal youngster Harrison Dudziak went out on loan to Braintree Town in December, but he only signed an initial one-month deal with the non-league club – lasting until January 21st.
The upside of that was that when Dudziak put in some good early performances for Braintree, there was talk of enquiries from English Football League clubs over a potential January loan for the remainder of the season.
Braintree were also understandably keen to keep the youngster, but an untimely injury put any move for Dudziak at risk, as he picked up a knock ahead of the final game of his initial loan spell last week.

Simon Collings now reports that Dudziak has had his loan extended by Braintree, which was perhaps the easiest deal to do given his fitness situation. He continued to be absent for Braintree’s fixture this weekend all the same.
Collings highlights the fact that the midfielder has performed well so far, which was presumably a key factor in why he’s the only Arsenal academy player to have their short-term loan spell extended this season.
The Gunners have sent out a few players on short-term non-league loans in recent months, with Daniel Oyetunde joining St. Albans City and Cam’ron Ismail signing for Uxbridge FC. But Dudziak is the first to see an increase to that initial term.

Before his injury, Dudziak had made five starts in five games for Braintree, playing the full 90 minutes in four of those matches and completing 80 in the other.
