Arsenal striker Kai Havertz is targeting a return to action before the end of the year, as the Germany international closes in on a comeback from injury.

Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has been out injured since the first game of the season, playing just 30 minutes against Manchester United before suffering a knee injury that has seen him out of action ever since.
Havertz ideally would have returned to full fitness already, but Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann revealed last month that the player had “had a minor relapse on his injury”.
The good news is that Havertz is now finally close to being available, with HandofArsenal reporting that the 26-year-old is targeting the remaining December fixtures for his comeback.
The same source adds that Havertz’s return will be managed carefully, but he’s pushing to make an appearance before the end of 2025.

As a reminder, Arsenal have four games left to come this calendar year, starting with the trip away to Everton’s new stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners then face Crystal Palace in the League Cup on Tuesday, December 23rd, Brighton at home on Saturday, December 27th, and Aston Villa on Tuesday, December 30th.
That’s a tricky run of games, so having Havertz available for any of them would be a major boost.

Havertz was Arsenal’s first-choice striker last season, scoring 15 goals and assisting five despite missing over three months with a hamstring injury.
The German will return with competition for starts in his position, given both Gabriel Jesus and Viktor Gyokeres are now fit too. But he has a great chance of reclaiming his first-choice role if he can recapture his 2024/25 form.
