Arsenal won’t be in the race for Antoine Semenyo in January unless they sell one of their current wingers first, according to a report.

Ciaran Wiseman reports for talkSPORT that whilst Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Spurs would all at least consider a move for Antoine Semenyo next month, Arsenal are not in the race unless they sell someone first.
Wiseman adds that Arsenal do want a new starting left winger ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, but they’d only bring those plans forward to January if either Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard left the club.
As it stands, there’s no sign either of those exits are on the horizon, so a move for Semenyo is also off the cards.

This report follows a similar claim from Sky Sports News recently, who wrote that whilst Arsenal have kept an eye on Semenyo’s development, they currently feel they’re well stocked in forward areas.
The Gunners are therefore unlikely to make a move for Semenyo in the January transfer window, which could mean missing out on him to a big-six rival.
The Bournemouth player is particularly likely to move mid-season because of his release clause of £60m plus £5m in bonuses. If even one of his suitors is willing to pay that fee, Bournemouth will be powerless to prevent the transfer.

Arsenal have never really been favourites for Semenyo, but the fans have continued to believe a move is possible because the winger is a self-proclaimed supporter of the club.
“I am an Arsenal fan,” Semenyo told The Athletic amid links to the Gunners last year. “I don’t conflict the two with my job.
“It is great to play against Arsenal, a team I have watched all my life and I want to play for the top clubs as well. In order for that to happen I need to prove it.”
The 25-year-old made an excellent start to the season, scoring six goals and assisting three in his first eight appearances. But it’s worth mentioning that his weekend goal against Manchester United ended a subsequent run of 10 games for club and country without a goal contribution.
