Martin Zubimendi and David Raya have become the only two players to feature in every single Luis de la Fuente squad since he took charge of Spain in March 2023, underlining their importance for both for club and country.
Ahead of Spain’s final international fixtures of 2025, against Georgia and Turkey, Marca reports that the Arsenal pair remain ever-present across all 14 of De la Fuente’s call-ups.

Every other member of his early squads has either been dropped, rotated, or missed out through injury.
Zubimendi, who joined Arsenal from Real Sociedad during the summer, has become the cornerstone of Spain’s midfield in the absence of Rodri, while Raya, now firmly established as Arsenal’s undisputed first-choice goalkeeper, continues to share the national setup with Unai Simón and Álex Remiro.
Their uninterrupted inclusion marks them out as two of the most trusted figures in De la Fuente’s system.
