League Two Arsenal loanee Ismeal Kabia has made a very positive start with Shrewsbury Town, largely operating as a right-wing-back, but the 19-year-old was yet to get on the scoresheet until this weekend.

Playing against Fleetwood Town, Kabia latched onto a long ball and finished confidently at the near post in the 83rd minute, giving his side slim hope of a late comeback by making it 3-1.

That comeback never arrived, but Kabia can be pleased with his contribution to the game once again.

With Kabia having provided assists against Oldham Athletic and Crewe Alexandra in recent games, he’s now on a run of three goal contributions in four matches for Shrewsbury Town.

Although he still generally operated on the right on Saturday, Kabia did also pop up on the left wing at times. The Arsenal youngster’s ability to play on both flanks is clearly serving him well on this loan spell.

Even before the goals and assists, it was clear that Shrewsbury were happy with Kabia’s performances. The teenager has started every league game and two of three cup games since arriving.
