Declan Rice and Gabriel Magalhaes both feature in multiple Premier League Teams of the Week following Arsenal’s win over Burnley at the weekend.

Troy Deeney selected both Declan Rice and Gabriel Magalhaes for his BBC Team of the Week on Monday, following Arsenal’s 2-0 win away to Burnley.
On Gabriel, Deeney wrote that the defender was “a menace”, securing yet another clean sheet for Arsenal. He added that the centre-back is “such a handful from set-pieces, a nuisance” and that “you can feel the fear in the other teams”.
As for Rice, Deeney said the midfielder “was pivotal against Burnley” and “an absolute beast”. He praised the Arsenal man for his goal and his set pieces, and credited the team for letting Rice loose against the “lesser teams”.

The same two players also made it into WhoScored’s Team of the Week for the most recent set of fixtures, with Gabriel scoring a 7.98 rating and Rice hitting 9.03. Gabriel was the highest-rated centre-back of the week, and Rice was second only to Diego Gomez (9.45) for Player of the Week.
Gabriel earned his rating with an assist, nine clearances, and winning all four of his aerial duels, among other stats. Meanwhile, Rice got his spot with his goal, two chances created, a 91% pass accuracy, and five tackles.
It’s worth noting that former Gunner Granit Xhaka also made the WhoScored team ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Sunderland this weekend.

It’s far from the first time the Arsenal pair have been involved in Teams of the Week this season, and hopefully it won’t be the last.
