Leandro Trossard could still extend his Arsenal contract despite signing new terms a matter of months ago, according to a report.

Florian Plettenberg reports that despite Leandro Trossard receiving a pay increase just a few months ago, his camp remain in regular and positive contact with the club, with talk of a potential contract extension.
Though Plettenberg adds that nothing has been finalised at this stage, it seems the winger’s strong form is giving Arsenal some motivation to consider lengthening Trossard’s contract.
The same reporter adds that Arsenal blocked a move for Trossard over the summer, but new transfer enquiries have now arrived for the player.

As mentioned, Trossard did put pen to paper on new terms with Arsenal back in August, but the new contract didn’t include an extension.
James McNicholas reported for The Athletic that Trossard’s deal would still expire in 2027, with the Gunners simply recognising Trossard’s key role in the squad with a pay boost.
So it wouldn’t be hugely surprising to see player and club returning to contract talks again so soon, given the summer of 2027 is now only 19 months away.

Trossard is also earning his wages right now, with four goals and four assists for Arsenal already this season. No one else in the squad can match his eight goal contributions in 2025/26 so far.
The Belgian international is also consistently available. Arsenal have had plenty of problems with attacking injuries in recent months, but Trossard has missed just one matchday squad in the last two years. And the one League Cup game he missed was because he was suspended.
There’s certainly an argument that Arsenal would benefit from adding another year to Trossard’s current deal, and perhaps talks will get going in earnest before long.
