Arsenal are monitoring Silas Andersen, the 21-year-old Danish midfielder who has emerged as one of BK Häcken’s standout performers during a difficult Allsvenskan campaign.

According to reports in Sweden and Denmark, Arsenal scouts have been in attendance at several Häcken fixtures this autumn, with club representatives expected again when Häcken host Strasbourg in the UEFA Conference League at Gamla Ullevi on Thursday.
The Aftonbladet report, citing Bold.dk, suggests that Andersen has “caught the eye” of Arsenal’s recruitment team following an impressive breakthrough year in Gothenburg.
Andersen joined Häcken from FC Utrecht for €1m in January and quickly established himself as a central figure, combining disciplined defensive work with the ability to dictate play from deep. He is currently valued at around €800k and is under contract until 2028.
He has four goals and two assists in 40 games across all competitions.
Interest in Andersen is not new. During the summer window, he was reportedly a target for FC Copenhagen and Nottingham Forest, though Häcken resisted attempts to get him out of the club after only a few months. Standing at 6’2″ and comfortable operating as either a holding or box-to-box midfielder, Andersen has been praised for his composure, progressive passing and physical presence.
A former Denmark under-19 and under-20 international, Andersen’s blend of tactical awareness and technical confidence has made him one of the most promising young midfielders in Scandinavia.
Whether Häcken can hold on to him beyond the winter window may now depend on just how serious Arsenal’s interest proves to be.
