Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes has won the club’s Player of the Month award for October, earning 45% of the fan votes.

Arsenal have confirmed that Gabriel Magalhaes is their Player of the Month winner for October, with the centre-back getting 45% of the votes placed over the last week.
It was evidently a competitive vote on this occasion, with the other 55% of the fan votes split between Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber, and Bukayo Saka.
Gabriel just managed to edge out the competition by helping Arsenal to avoid conceding a single goal throughout October whilst also scoring against Atletico Madrid and provided two assists across the month.

Those contributions in the Champions League games evidently gave Gabriel an edge, despite Timber’s impressive domestic form.
Timber had won a penalty against West Ham United and helped create the second goal against Brighton with a fantastic driving run, receiving a nomination for the Premier League’s Player of the Month award.
As for Rice, the midfielder was nominated after scoring against his former club West Ham United and providing an assist against Atletico Madrid. One of his free-kicks also led to the winning goal against Crystal Palace.

Last but not least, Saka scored three goals for Arsenal in October, and he was arguably the standout player against Fulham and Atletico Madrid despite not getting a goal or assist for his efforts.
Any of the four would have been a worthy winner in a great month for the club, but Gabriel has ended up taking it.
