Lewis Steele reports for the Daily Mail that with Liverpool’s Joshua Abe yet to sign scholarship terms with the club, Arsenal and Chelsea are circling to try and sign him.

Though nothing is advanced at this stage, Arsenal are keeping tabs for a potential move, and it is believed the player’s father is a lifelong Gunners fan.

The winger is highly rated internally, with Steele reporting that many in and around the Liverpool academy believe he’s one of their most exciting talents.

15-year-old Abe has been on fire so far this season, directly contributing to four goals in five u18 Premier League appearances and four goals in five England u16 games.

The youngster also netted on Saturday in Liverpool’s u18 Premier League Cup game against Newcastle United, opening the scoring.

Arsenal obviously have a great recent record with young players, giving chances to the likes of Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Max Dowman. So they should have a good sales pitch to top talents like Abe, particularly if the player comes from an Arsenal-supporting background.

It doesn’t seem like a move is imminent though, with the player able to delay a final decision on his future until closer to the deadline for signing scholarship terms next summer.
