Self-proclaimed Arsenal fan and in-form Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo has a release clause in his new contract, according to a report.

Alex Crook reports for talkSPORT that Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo has a release clause in his contract with the club, who are bracing for interest from the Premier League’s top teams in the coming transfer windows.
The exact terms of the release clause are being kept secret, with Bournemouth still hoping to hold onto the winger for the long term. What is clear is that they value him at more than £75m.
Semenyo held talks with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United over the summer, but he turned them both down to sign a new five-year contract with his current club. Liverpool are also reportedly interested in the player.

But perhaps Arsenal could also be in the equation in the future. The Gunners still don’t have one player really nailing down the left-wing spot, and Semenyo is a self-proclaimed Arsenal fan.
“I am an Arsenal fan,” Semenyo told The Athletic amid links to the Gunners last year. “I don’t conflict the two with my job.
“It is great to play against Arsenal, a team I have watched all my life and I want to play for the top clubs as well. In order for that to happen I need to prove it.”

25-year-old Semenyo has made a fantastic start to the new season, scoring six goals for Bournemouth and assisting three in just seven league games. That only puts him narrowly behind Erling Haaland’s 10 goal contributions at the top of the standings.
Bournemouth have begun the season well as a team, only sitting two points off Arsenal at the top of the table. Their only defeat so far was to Liverpool on the opening day of the season, a game in which they performed very well.
So Bournemouth won’t want to sell while things are going well, and Semenyo is probably happy enough for the time being. But if he continues his excellent form, with a release clause in place, that dream move might eventually become a reality.
