UEFA have confirmed Arsenal’s provisional u19 squad to face Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, with the u19s playing at 13:00 BST ahead of the first-team game between the same two clubs at 20:00.

Jack Porter and Max Dowman are notable inclusions, having been in first-team training on Monday. Dowman hasn’t played in the Youth League this season, but with u19 captain Louie Copley suspended, now is a good time to drop down.

But involvement with the u19s doesn’t necessarily rule out the possibility Porter and Dowman could be on the bench for the senior side, with Arsenal calling up youth players for both games on a few occasions in the past.

In other positive news for the u19s, Louis Zecevic-John is involved with the squad after injury, having not played a single game of the 2025/26 campaign so far. The winger provided 14 goal contributions in 22 matches last season.

On the other side of things, Josh Nichols isn’t in the squad, despite training with the Arsenal senior side on Monday. Perhaps that could hint at first-team involvement.

The Arsenal u19s have lost their first two games of the season, but this is the first they’ll play with new u19 head coach David Horseman in charge. Horseman was in attendance for the first game, but he hadn’t been appointed yet, and he was then suspended for the second game.
