Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson is set for well over a month out of action with a hamstring injury, according to a report.

David Ornstein and Gregg Evans report for The Athletic that Alisson Becker will likely be be out until the November international break with a hamstring injury, meaning he’s not set to play for Liverpool until they face Nottingham Forest on November 22nd.
Alisson suffered a hamstring injury in the midweek game against Galatasaray, and he had a scan on Thursday to reveal the initial bad news.
The report stressed that Liverpool haven’t officially confirmed the goalkeeper’s recovery timeframe. But Arne Slot has since confirmed in his press conference that he’d be “surprised” if Alisson is ready after the October international break.

At the beginning of last week, Liverpool had a completely clean injury record. They were pretty much the only team in the division not to have a single player out, which was obviously a boost to their chances of winning matches.
Yet things have taken a turn in the last few days, with young centre-back Giovanni Leoni suffering an ACL injury, and Federico Chiesa struggling with a knock that ruled him out of Tuesday’s match against Galatasaray.
Alisson and Hugo Ekitike then picked up new problems in Liverpool’s defeat in Turkey, with Alisson now seemingly out for a while. But Ekitike and Chiesa are expected to return to training today.

In all, Liverpool are still in a much better injury position than most or all of their rivals. But their star goalkeeper is now set to miss Premier League matches against Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City, as well as a Champions League match against Real Madrid.
