Arsenal held their final pre-Atletico Madrid training session on Monday afternoon, with the media invited to attend.

The good news from those in attendance was that there were no new absentees for Arsenal, with Ben White returning to the fold after he missed a session last week and Piero Hincapie also taking part.

Hincapie has been in training for a few days now, but he’s yet to be involved in a matchday squad. The extra bench space in the Champions League makes it likely Tuesday’s match will represent his comeback, and Mikel Arteta has confirmed he’s available.

There were of course the expected absences for Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Noni Madueke, and Martin Odegaard. None of the four are set to return anytime soon, with comebacks after the November internationals for Madueke and Odegaard the most likely outcome.

Havertz could be back around the same time, though there’s little clarity on his exact timeline. As for Jesus, the striker is expected to return from his ACL injury around the turn of the year.

But with Arsenal picking up an injury in almost every game since the start of the season, Gunners fans will just be pleased that the injury list doesn’t seem to have grown since the match against Fulham on Saturday.
