Football insider Hand of Arsenal reports on social media that Kai Havertz has blown away staff at Arsenal with his approach to rehab, and he’s now in the final phase of his recovery.

The same source adds that Havertz could now make a return earlier than initially expected.

The Standard confirm that if all goes to play, Havertz could be available for selection again before the next international break.

Mikel Arteta had said in September that Arsenal knew it would be “months” before Havertz returned to action. The assumption was that a return after the November international break was the very earliest he could be back.

There’s still no clarity on exactly when Havertz might be playing again, and there’s certainly no suggestion that he’ll be involved in the squad for the next few games.

But it seems the rumours are increasingly hinting that it’s not going to be too long now.

A recent report in the Daily Mail suggested that Arsenal originally planned to have Havertz starting over Viktor Gyokeres at the beginning of the 2025/26, allowing the new signing time to settle in.

That plan went out the window with Havertz’s injury, but it raises the possibility that the two really will be competing for starts if and when both are fit.
