Both Arsenal and Bukayo Saka are aligned on a contract extension and convinced a new deal is on the way, with salary details being discussed and talks progressing well.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Arsenal are progressing well in talks with Bukayo Saka and his camp over a new contract, with all parties aligned and convinced to move forward together.
Talks have reportedly been ongoing since before the summer window even began, and salary details are still being discussed, but things are proceeding well at this stage.

The report follows similar claims from Sami Mokbel of the BBC, who wrote on Tuesday that Arsenal’s attempts to tie Saka down to a new long-term deal have progressed and are continuing to advance amid a growing expectation an agreement will be reached.
Saka will reportedly become one of Arsenal’s best-paid players when the deal is confirmed, though he’s already one of the club’s top earners.
Mokbel added that Arsenal have also opened talks over a new deal for Jurrien Timber, with optimism in that case as well, and Declan Rice is set to be next.

As it stands, Saka has a deal lasting until 2027, whilst Timber and Rice have contracts ending in 2028. Saka is obviously the priority, and it seems his new deal is also the closest to being done.
Arsenal have already extended a few contracts this year, with the likes of Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Ethan Nwaneri all signing new deals.
David Raya and Leandro Trossard also received pay rises before the start of the 2025/26 campaign, but neither lengthened their existing contracts.
