The Premier League published their squad lists for the 2025/26 campaign on Friday, officially confirming the players eligible to play for Arsenal from now until the January transfer window.

Unlike with the Champions League squad list, no one was left out here, with Gabriel Jesus included despite reports he’ll be out injured until December or January.

All the new signings are also there, with Kepa Arrizabalaga, Eberechi Eze, Viktor Gyokeres, Piero Hincapie, Noni Madueke, Christian Norgaard and Martin Zubimendi on the senior squad list, and Cristhian Mosquera still young enough to feature on the u21 list.

On Madueke, the squad list provided confirmation of previous reports that he’ll now be considered as ‘homegrown’ by the Premier League.

There was some confusion over his status, and he was listed as a non-homegrown player in Chelsea’s squad last season. But he does fulfill the homegrown requirements and the website now officially reflects that.

The squad list also finally officially confirmed that youth goalkeeper Remy Mitchell has re-signed for Arsenal.

That much was fairly obvious when the 21-year-old played for the Arsenal u21s in a competitive fixture late last month, but Arsenal never announced the deal and still haven’t included him in the team page on the club website.

The assumption is that Arsenal re-signed Mitchell as he was out of contract, still young enough to qualify for the u21 list, and the Gunners planned to loan out some of their other young goalkeepers.

Karl Hein and Lucas Nygaard did both go on loan and Tommy Setford then got injured, which is how Mitchell ended up back out on the pitch for the young Gunners in August.

There should be no concern about the fact that Max Dowman isn’t listed on either squad list, as that’s simply because he’s yet to sign a scholarship contract with Arsenal due to his young age.

The Premier League only list the senior players, the under-21s on professional contracts, and the under-21s on scholarship deals. As Dowman doesn’t fit any of those categories yet, he isn’t listed.

But that doesn’t mean Dowman can’t play in the Premier League (as he already has done). He’s eligible to feature, just as Ethan Nwaneri did as a 15-year-old not included on these lists.
