Jack Porter and Max Dowman both made their England u19 debuts in a win over Ukraine on Wednesday morning, with Porter keeping a clean sheet for the side.

Arsenal duo Jack Porter and Max Dowman both made the jump from the England u17s to the u19s for the September international break, with the team to play a selection of friendly fixtures at the Pinatar Arena in Spain over the coming days.
The first of the three games was against Ukraine on Wednesday morning, and Porter made the starting lineup in goal for his debut in u19 international football.
Dowman also made his debut later in the game, coming on in the 70th minute with England already 2-0 up.

That was how the game finished, with Porter securing a clean sheet on his first England u19 start. The team are next in action against hosts Spain on Saturday, and they’ll wrap up the break with a game against the Netherlands next Tuesday.
With another two matches to play in quick succession, there’s a pretty high likelihood that Dowman will get to start at least one of the upcoming games.
