Michal Rosiak has officially signed for Śląsk Wrocław after departing Arsenal at the end of his contract earlier this summer.

Polish first-division club Śląsk Wrocław have confirmed that Michal Rosiak has signed for them on an initial one-year deal, with the option to extend for a further 12 months.
“Śląsk is a great club that wants to return to its rightful place as quickly as possible, and I want to help achieve that,” Rosiak said.
“The chance to play for this team, in front of such a crowd, is a huge privilege. I can assure you that I will always give my all.”

Arsenal had made Rosiak an offer to remain with the club and to extend his contract, but the player turned it down to move elsewhere. Given his age and the contract offer on the table, Rosiak’s transfer will still net Arsenal a compensation fee, even though he was out of contract.
Aleksander Bernard of Sport.pl had broken the news of Śląsk Wrocław’s interest in Rosiak, adding that the player also turned down offers from Stoke City and a team in Cyprus.
The former Gunner previously had a trial with Wycombe Wanderers in League One, playing for the team in a few pre-season fixtures and even scoring in a win over Cheltenham Town.

As well as playing for the Arsenal academy, Rosiak has also represented the Polish national team at various youth levels in recent years, from u15 up to u19. He’s now moving back to the country of his birth, at least for the next year or two.
