Arsenal are being linked with a move for Nathaniel Brown, the Eintracht Frankfurt left-back who played a prominent role in Germany’s run to the Under-21 European Championship final this summer.

According to Caught Offside, both Arsenal and Manchester City are “weighing up the possibility of opening talks in the near future” of a bid, though the 22-year-old is tied to Frankfurt until 2030.
Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Manchester United are also reported to be monitoring Brown, who joined Frankfurt from Nürnberg for around €3 million in January 2024 before returning there on loan for the remainder of that season.
He became a regular starter at Eintracht Frankfurt in 2024/25, making 33 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing seven assists.

Brown’s pace and technical ability have seen him emerge as one of the Bundesliga’s most consistent young full-backs. His market value is currently estimated at €22 million, and while he has yet to play at senior level internationally, he is eligible for both Germany and the United States.
For Arsenal, the interest reflects a familiar theme. Mikel Arteta has Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly competing at left-back, yet the manager’s pursuit of further depth in the position is not new.
He likes to collect left-backs the way Arsene Wenger liked to collect attacking midfielders.

With no release clause in his contract, Frankfurt are under no pressure to sell, but interest from multiple Premier League clubs will test their resolve as Brown’s reputation grows.
Arsenal have been linked with a number of Eintracht players over recent years, most recently Hugo Ekitike and Omar Marmoush before their moves to the Premier League, but have not seen rumours amount to anything.
