Arsenal assistant coach Miguel Molina clashed with Joelinton after Sunday’s win over Newcastle United, with Mikel Arteta getting involved to break things up.

Arsenal scored late to earn all three points at St. James’ Park on Sunday, with Gabriel Magalhaes rising highest from a corner to head home in the 96th minute.
Tempers had flared throughout the match, amid controversial refereeing decisions and a number of individual confrontations and challenges.
As usual, Newcastle’s Joelinton was involved in the physical side of the encounter, escaping an early yellow card for a swipe at Bukayo Saka’s legs, receiving a booking for delaying the restart, then avoiding a second yellow despite clear dissent with sarcastic applause in response to that booking.

When the Newcastle midfielder left the field in the 94th minute, he probably thought his team had done enough to earn a point. But just minutes later, the final whistle blew on an Arsenal victory.
After the game ended, footage from the stands caught Arsenal assistant manager Miguel Molina in a confrontation with Joelinton, with the midfielder pushing the coach away and pointing a finger in Molina’s face.
Mikel Arteta dragged Molina away before going to shake Joelinton’s hand, but the Newcastle player continue to point the finger at Molina whilst making comments towards the Arsenal boss.

Quite what the argument was about is unclear, but it would be fair to assume that Joelinton was riled up by his team’s defeat, whilst Molina was probably frustrated by Joelinton escaping multiple bookings despite his usual aggressive on-field conduct.
