The American full-back has enjoyed a remarkable rise since joining Arsenal from North Carolina Courage in January 2024, becoming first choice almost immediately and a central figure in the club’s Champions League triumph in Lisbon last season.

She played the full 90 minutes of the 1-0 victory over Barcelona in the final, earning a place in the UEFA competition’s Best XI and reinforcing her reputation as one of the most reliable defenders in the game.

A nomination for the Ballon d’Or confirmed her elevation to the elite bracket of women’s football.

Fox now finds herself alongside Charlyn Corral, Melanie Dumornay, Lindsey Heaps, Jacqueline Ovalle, and Khadija Shaw on CONCACAF’s final shortlist.

Voting closes on 30 September.
