Arsenal have officially confirmed the signing of former Rangers winger Archie Stevens, with the 19-year-old joining after a successful trial period.

On Monday afternoon, Arsenal officially announced that ex-Rangers winger Archie Stevens has signed professional terms with the club.
Stevens had played for Arsenal a couple of times during pre-season, featuring in friendlies against Chelmsford City and Monaco II. He even scored for the Gunners in the latter of those two fixtures.
The teenager clearly did enough to impress Arsenal’s coaching staff, and he’s now a full-time player for the Gunners.

“My first game was against Chelmsford in pre-season, I think I gave a good account of myself,” Stevens reflected. “Then we had the Monaco game out in France, which was a great opportunity.
“I came on in the last 30 minutes, so I wanted to make an impact. I saw the ball come to me in quite a wide area, but I thought I need to get something away, whether it’s a shot or a pass and I went for goal.
“I can’t wait to show what I can do. Obviously, it’s such a massive club, so it’s a dream come true to be here, I’m just grateful for the opportunity.”

“Since Archie has been with us, he has really impressed as a person and player,” Per Mertsacker said. “He has fit into our environment seamlessly and has been really impressive in matches and in training. Archie has absolutely earned this next stage in his career with his professional contract with us.”
Stevens has played senior football before, making one appearance for Rangers and playing 11 times on loan with Scottish second tier club Dunfermline Athletic in 2024/25.
But he opted to move on this summer, leaving Rangers and holding that trial with Arsenal before putting pen to paper.

As well as playing for Rangers and Dunfermline, Stevens has represented England at youth level up to the u18s. That’s given him experience playing alongside the likes of Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Tommy Setford.
