Levante want to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein on loan, but the Gunners are holding out for a permanent sale in the region of £3-5m, according to a report.

James McNicholas reports for The Athletic that Levante want to loan Karl Hein from Arsenal this summer, but the Gunners are still hoping a permanent buyer will come forward.
Arsenal value Hein at between £3m and £5m, which is beyond what Levante would be able to pay. So unless Arsenal’s stance on a loan softens towards the end of the transfer window, Levante’s pursuit is likely to be unsuccessful.

Ryan Taylor had initially broken the news of Levante’s interest in Hein, adding that Rangers had also been credited with an interest.
Sevilla were also in the mix at one stage, but they’ve since secured a loan deal for Newcastle United’s Odysseas Vlachodimos. It looks like they no longer require Hein’s services.
Whether Arsenal loaning Hein is even a possibility depends on the exact length of Hein’s contract, which remains unclear. Some reports have suggested it expires in 2026, in which case Arsenal would want to extend it before loaning him out.
Hein only signed his most recent contract last summer, but that was a similar situation, with his deal expiring and Arsenal agreeing to loan him if he extended. So it’s not too outlandish to suggest it may just have been a short-term extension for a couple of seasons.

Hein missed the Asia tour of Singapore and Hong Kong due to a thumb injury, but he’s since returned to fitness.
Yet with Arsenal having David Raya and Kepa Arrizabalaga, with young Tommy Setford as a third-choice option, the goalkeeper appears surplus to requirements and remains absent from recent matchday squads.
