Jimi Gower is expected to sign for Moreirense following his departure from Arsenal, having scored in pre-season during his trial spell with the club.

Jimi Gower spent eight years with Arsenal as an academy player, but the 20-year-old midfielder departed as a free agent this summer. The Gunners opted not to extend his contract, but it hasn’t taken too long for him to find a new club.
Reports from last month confirmed that Gower had earned a surprise trial with Liga Portugal club Moreirense FC, and it seems to be going well so far.
Gower most recently featured for the side in a friendly against fellow top-tier Portuguese side AVS Futebol SAD, and he scored the winner in a 1-0 victory on Wednesday.

O Jogo now report that Gower is expected to become a permanent signing for Moreirense, having worked with the squad since the start of pre-season.
Guimaraes Digital also report that Moreirense are expected to move forward with the signing, with te coaching staff and the club hierarchy providing positive feedback on the player.

As well as Wednesday’s friendly, Gower has featured in multiple other pre-season games, so the club have had a good look at him. They’ll want to have his situation sorted by the time their league campaign kicks off just over a week from now on Sunday, August 10th.
