The 2025-26 season is underway and, once again, all eyes are on Arsenal. The London giants have finished as runners-up in each of the last 3 seasons, and now the expectation from fans, pundits, and critics is for them to take things a step further. But can that really happen? Can Arsenal win the Premier League this season? Let us talk about that.
The simple answer to that question is yes, but there is one thing that can kill that dream. We’ll get to that later.
You see, Arsenal currently has the closest thing to a complete squad in the Premier League. They, for sure, have the best defence in the league with enough depth to help them favourably compete in all competitions throughout the season.
Then in the midfield, they have two great defensive midfield options in Zubimendi and Nørgaard, an incredible number 8 in Declan Rice, and two awesome 10s in Martin Ødegaard and new signing Eberechi Eze.
Up front, they have Bukayo Saka who is one of the two best wingers in the league, and they just signed Noni Madueke who will help Saka manage his minutes and can also put in a good shift on the left.
Speaking of the left, of course, Eze can also slot in there comfortably if Martinelli and Trossard are underwhelming.
And then, they finally got a proper marksman in Viktor Gyökeres. Two goals in his first two Premier League appearances is surely how you want your new striker to begin life in the league.
And don’t forget that Kai Havertz is still there. He can play in multiple positions and will always give 100%.
Looking at all of this, it makes sense that many fans enjoy betting on Arsenal. If you belong in that category, then you will find trustnbet useful. They have a soccer betting guide with Premier League odds as well as important details on the English league and other leagues around the world, making your wagering experience more enjoyable.
But you know what really makes the Gunners big favorites? They have the ability to win games even when they’re not playing well, and that’s a trait of champions. Their proficiency from setpieces and amazing record against top teams make them a real favorite to conquer England this season.
But as was stated earlier, one thing can kill that dream, and that’s injuries. Last season, Arsenal suffered injuries to a number of key players and that pretty much ruined their season.
Unfortunately, this season hasn’t started well, either. Just two games in, the club has already had to endure injuries to Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Ben White, and Martin Ødegaard. Not to forget that the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Christian Nørgaard are still out.
If the injuries get worse than this in the business end of the season, it could spell real trouble for the Gunners, especially with the likes of Liverpool, City, and Chelsea having gotten stronger over the summer.
But in general, Arsenal has a really good squad right now and fans have every reason to be positive this season.
