Arsenal’s transfer business may not yet be done, with ongoing links to Malick Fofana and a left-back even after the signing of Eberechi Eze.

Arsenal have already had a big summer of spending, without any doubt. Even before Eberechi Eze, the Gunners had spent around £188m on six signings, potentially rising to £205.5m after add-ons.
That was comprised of €65m (£56.3m) for Martin Zubimendi, €63.5m (£55m) plus €10m (£8.7m) add-ons for Viktor Gyokeres, £48.5m plus £3.5m add-ons for Noni Madueke, €15m (£13m) plus €4m add-ons (£3.5m) for Cristhian Mosquera, £10m plus £2m add-ons for Christian Norgaard, and £5m for Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Add to that a reported £60m fee for Eze, plus another £7.5m in add-ons, and you’re looking at £248-273m spent without any significant sales. The only two permanent exits have been for Nuno Tavares and Marquinhos, both for less than £10m.

Even so, the Gunners continue to be linked with further signings. Hugo Guillemet of L’Equipe reports that Arsenal have added Malick Fofana of Olympique Lyonnais to their summer shortlist, with Lyon looking for £35m. Bayern Munich are also in the mix.
Then Parisian journalist Abdellah Boulma adds on Saturday morning that the Gunners are looking for a left-back.

If Arsenal’s signings so far haven’t been dependent on sales, there’s certainly an expectation that any future business will be. But there could still be some developments on that front, with the likes of Fabio Vieira, Reiss Nelson, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and perhaps most notably Jakub Kiwior on the market.
FC Porto want Kiwior, and they’ve already seen a bid worth up to €27m turned down. If they improve their offer and agree a transfer, that could give the Gunners the funds for another incoming.
