Gabriel Magalhaes and Richarlison exchanged some banter on social media following Arsenal’s pre-season game against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.

Arsenal played a pre-season friendly against Tottenham Hotspur in Hong Kong on Thursday, and Thomas Frank’s side ended up winning 1-0.
It was a close game without too many clear-cut chances, and there was some controversy around the winning goal as Myles Lewis-Skelly was clearly tripped by Richarlison in the build-up.
But that didn’t stop Richarlison from enjoying a rare victory over the Gunners, posting on Instagram with a picture of himself holding the Player of the Match award. To rub it in, the Spurs forward even tagged his Brazilian teammate Gabriel Magalhaes in the post.

It didn’t take long for Gabriel to hit back with a reply of his own, posting a picture on his Instagram story of the three Player of the Match awards he’s won in competitive matches against Tottenham Hotspur.
The defender circled the opponents on the awards and tagged Richarlison back.

It was clearly just a bit of lighthearted banter between the two players, with Richarlison later sharing a picture of the pair together on international duty along with a song titled “A Amizade” (which translates to “the friendship”).

We’ll have to wait and see who gets the last laugh after the competitive fixtures between the two this season, with Arsenal not due to face Spurs in the Premier League until November 22nd.
The Brazilian duo have a few international breaks coming up before that, so they’re likely to be teammates long before their next outing as opponents.
