Bayern Munich are interested in signing Leandro Trossard this summer, should they fail to agree a deal with Liverpool for Luis Diaz.

Bild reporter Christian Falk writes that Bayern Munich are interested in Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard this summer, with the Belgian international one of their candidates for a move if their attempts to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool fail.
Bayern manager Vincent Kompany will know Trossard well from their time with the Belgian national team (they didn’t play a match together but did feature together in training camps and a matchday squad), as well as Kompany’s spell managing Burnley in the Premier League.

The priority for Bayern is clearly Diaz, so it’s probably not worth getting too invested in this transfer just yet.
Even if Bayern and Liverpool can’t reach an agreement, the suggestion is only that Trossard is “one of” the alternatives to Diaz. So if Bayern don’t like Arsenal’s asking price, their interest could end there.
But it does seem as though Trossard is on the market this summer, with Henry Winter the latest in the English media to report that the winger is a potential summer outgoing.

Trossard had been in serious contract renewal talks with Arsenal, but multiple reports suggest those talks have somewhat stalled in recent months.
Arsenal’s pursuit of additional forwards like Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres, and Eberechi Eze may push Trossard to consider whether extending is the best move for his career.
