Cristhian Mosquera has rejected a contract extension from Valencia, informing the Spanish club he wishes to be transferred to Arsenal, according to AS.

The 21-year-old centre-back is understood to have agreed personal terms with the Premier League side, who have already tabled at least one offer.
The situation has been building in recent days, with multiple sources in Spain, including Las Provincias, reporting that Arsenal are preparing a final bid to force a deal.
Valencia, who are in need of cash, are thought to be holding out for around €20 million (£17.2 million), while Arsenal value the player closer to €15 million (£12.9 million).

Mosquera’s refusal to extend his current deal, which runs until 2026, has now left Valencia with limited leverage. The club’s inability to match Arsenal’s proposed salary package further underlines their weakening position.
Simon Jones of the Daily Mail confirmed on Monday that Arsenal remain intent on bringing Mosquera to London and are expected to return with an improved offer.
With the player pushing for the move and personal terms already agreed, it now appears to be a question of when, not if, the clubs can reach a compromise.
